Mater Bi Materials, excellent biodegradable plastic products

Instituto Italiano of Plastics (IIP, testing institute and confirm certification body for rubber, plastics and paper products) supervised the program to study that over 80 percent of the fourth generation Mater Bi materials are biodegradable. These products tend to be degraded completely within 220 days. The manufacturer of these biodegradable products, Novamont SpA notified all about the biodegradable properties of these decomposable materials.

According to the tests carried out in laboratory for degradation of bioplastics, research has been carried out that environmental conditions and marine life in sea bed supports decomposing of these products. Riparian zones of sea bed are those places where huge amount of plastic wastes have been observed. As per analysis, it has been confirmed that products can be degraded from compostable plastics under environmental conditions; marine habitats promote decomposition of the products and the time for processing shortens with the influence of marine life.   More about the story can be found here - http://www.neue-verpackung.de/texte/anzeigen/8966/Untersuchung-Mater-Bi-Werkstoffe-im-Meerwasser-abbaubar
