Bio isobutanol has been subjected for generic use now

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) has declared approval for the generic use of bio isobutanol for equipment dispensing and storage of gasoline. Producers of the product Gevo and Butamax announced that generic use of up to 16 percent isobutanol in UL 87A pumps is completely safe. One can find full report on this in http://greenchemicalsblog.com/2014/01/03/bio-isobutanol-approved-by-ul/.
87A pumps with ASTM specifications can be used as new pumps by dispensing with isobutanol blended gasoline. According to the producers of this excellent bio fuel, for the first time UL decided to use bio isobutanol while Gavo and Butamax were working on this project for several years.

As per the statement of the Butamax, this outstanding bio fuel will work well for dispensing of isobutanol blend gasoline in state and federal authorities. The proposal is soon to be subjected for final approval. The commercial production of isobutanol can start by 2015. Yet, the company has announced establishment of phase 1 of the first retrofit facility at Minnesota. On the other hand, Gevo is already engaged in production of gasoline blend isobutanol in the construction phase. Also, the company revealed a successful use of bio isobutanol. They announced that the US army has experienced a successful flight of the Black Hawk helicopter by using this bio fuel. As a result of the Gevo’s contract of 16000 gallons with the US army, this successful experiment was carried out.
