Bioplastics growth is expected to be higher than average in coming years

European Bioplastics - the group which stands for Europe’s Bioplastics industry anticipates the worldwide market for the Bioplastics to see more than average growth in upcoming years.

Berlin based organization European Bioplastics (EB) that stands for 70 affiliate companies existing all over the European Union, told yearly production capability of bioplastics shall go up from 1.4 million tonnes in year 2012 to a high level of 6.2 million tonnes by the year 2017.

European Bioplastics said that the most remarkable gains shall be acquired in non-biodegradable bio-based bioplastics field, particularly bio-based editions of bulk plastics for instance polyethylene and PET.

However the organization made it clear that capability for biodegradable plastics shall also increase in the region of approx 60% by year 2017.
