Photanol and AkzoNobel set up a partnership with objective of harnessing the solar power for making chemicals won the top award 2015 at Bio Business Awards. In September, 2014 the partnership took place and it has been announced with the name of Bio based chemical collaboration of the year in the award ceremony. The award function was launched for recognition of business excellence and innovative deals in the biobased industry.

The prize was awarded to the partnership of the company for their current project that focuses upon the creation of sustainable technology that utilizes the strategy of photosynthesis. Expertise and technology of both the companies together will definitely give rise to bio-based chemical building blocks for replacing fossil based raw materials for similar kind of production.
