Amcor Flexibles to develop bio-based packaging bags for Hovis

Amcor Flexibles is again in discussion nowadays due to development of polyethylene food bags for Hovis. The packaging solution provider is working for evolution of eco friendly packaging material with the use of renewable resources. The Hovis seed bags are developed with PE and are known well for lowering the carbon footprint up to 75% in comparison of conventional plastic made packaging bags.
The product is called as the first premium stuff which is launched again with the incorporation of renewable bags made up of PE.  According to the marketing manager of Hovis, Richard Mcquillan, the company is now leading towards a great breakthrough with the new bio-based packaging bags. On the other hand, Dr. Gerald Rebitzer; sustainability leader of Europe and America states that the company has bored great responsibility of managing introduction of awesome packaging products based upon bio-based resources. Apart from handling development of packaging bags, the company works extensively for operations and products that represented the group as the international packaging leader.  Rebitzer states further that the main element to bring success for Amcor is the Advance Sustainability Stewardship Evaluation Tool.
