Appeel, the latest produced resin by Du Pont

Du Pont Co. is now planning to upload commercial standard of the firm. They highlighted a new sealant resin; Appeel which is utilized for the manufacturing of nylon based lidding films. This extensive bio product is for its awesome high barrier effect and amazing sealant property. According to Ju-iL Cha, the Asia Pacific Packaging Segment leader, this exclusive resin excludes the requirement of APET i.e. low density polyethylene during the process of lamination of trays. In this way, using this product is a cost effective idea. Apart from this, the company has achieved rapid promotion in shrink bags while replacement of laminate is still being developed yet.

Another notable achievement of the company is Surlyn-brand ionomer packaging polymer that offers the chance of manufacturing of thermoformable barrier films that will be about 20 percent in comparison to the traditional polyethylene films possessing 7 layers. Also, this product is good to have better optical properties, abrasion resistance, higher puncture resistance and increased sealing properties. Du Pont is working for Braskem’s sugar based PE for evolution of new standard Fusabond and Bytel resins.
