Emery Oleochemicals reinforces specialty chemmicals business

Emery Oleochemicals, to fight along the global motto of uplifting ecological footprint of chemical companies, announced new business strategies at a conference in Malaysia. After establishing Eco-Friendly polyols (EP) business unit last year, the company is currently handling an ongoing process of expansion in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Another unit expansion is also scheduled in the task calendar of Emery Oleochemicals for last quarter this year.

Polyurethane foam of EMEROX® Renewable Polyols and InfiGreen® Recycle Polyols is produced from the Eco-Friendly polyols business unit of the company and these will have the same indusial standard of flexibility and rigidity.

New expansion plan of Argo Green business unit (http://greenchemicalsblog.com/2014/04/07/emery-oleochemicals-strengthens-specialty-chems-biz/) will offer great relief to the expectant crop market. With more production capacity of pesticide, herbicide, insecticide products offered from Emery, larger portion of crop industry can hope to use oleochemical based products. Current market trend of using pyrethroids, organophophates can be replaced with equally effective alternative.

Notable achievement of this business unit is the approval of EPA on EMERION™ 8000 Fatty Acids (FA) Blend which will offer a more suitable alternative for livestock use.

Few more formulas are also waiting approval of EPA and Emery hopes to surprise all by announcing sustainable alternatives to the world very soon. With the help of EUR 20 million investments last year Emery hopes to produce more environment friendly additives within a short span.
