Epoxy resins are being utilized by the company as an important element for production of lots of coatings. Epicerol is something to bear lower carbon footprint in comparison to Epichlorohydrin. The company targets sourcing about 20 percent of its total demand of epichlorohydrin, an extensive bio based material by 2016. Although, there is no evidence that the methodology will be working for epicerol still it should be applied in chemical value chains widely. In this way, the product can become something special assuring its stronger position in the list of biobased chemicals.
