Algix LLC to produce bioplastics from Algae

Many leading companies are working in the direction of developing bio-plastics and bio-based polymers for eco-friendly deals. Nowadays, Algix LLC Bioplastics Company is engaged in development of thermoplastic formulations and resins through feed-stocks. For this purpose, renewable sources are being used, the result of which is Algix Bio-resins. These resins developed by deriving up to 70 percent of their feed-stocks from aquatic biomass. In this direction, different concentrations of PP, PE, EVA, TPS etc are being applied for a wide range of end-use applications.

For commercialization and marketing of the algal biomass that works as feedstock for bioplastic conversion, Algix signed a partnership with the University of Georgia and Kimberly-Clark. The main objective of the company is to concentrate on industrial and agricultural operations like waste water treatment and livestock farming. In this series, biomass cultivation is the kind of thing that requires low cost nutrients. All these things make the company popular and appealing among the biomass producing companies.
