Institute of Bio-plastics and Bio-composites, University of Hanover developed 20K Balloon Clips

In university of Hanover, Institute of bio-plastics and bio-composites, 20K balloon clips have been produced with natural rubber. This special production plan has been planned for celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall. On 9th November, a 15 km of lights wall with balloons will be created to blow all the balloons in sky at evening. That’s why, the balloon clips have been made up of bio-plastic material. Project developers applied the IFBB technology to fulfill the demand of environment. Under IFBB technology, a tool for production of bio-friendly clips has been developed for adapting the processing properties of the material which is being used for development of bio-plastic. The colorful balloon clips had been expected to be developed with good strength and flexibility so that they cannot break during sealing the balloon.

Keeping all these factors on mind, eco-friendly balloon clips have been produced offering an assurance for good sealing of balloons. An interesting fact to know about the Berlin wall is that it separated Eastern and Western regions of Berlin from each other. The bio-based balloon clips used to decorate the wall during the grand occasion are good to not impart any harmful effect on environment after they will be vanished to the sky.
