Perstorp to step down into the field of bioplastics production

Perstorp, one of the international producers of E-polycaprolactones made an announcement for its entry in the bioplastics market. The PCL product is sold under the Capa brand and now, keeping the increasing demand of bioplastic on mind, the company plans to start its new venture in the field of manufacturing sustainable and eco-friendly plastic. After tracking the record of investment in same field, the company spends over 85 percent of research and development resources into discovery of environment friendly products.

According to the Bioplastic project manager of Perstorp, Linda Zellner, the company is strengthening its position to beat the increasing competition in the field of bioplastics. Our intention is just to secure leading position in manufacturing of bioplastic products. One more thing to favor our condition is Capa thermoplastics which add an important value to performance of eco-friendly plastic.

The current production of the company, Capa thermoplastics is a processing solution for renewable biopolymers and good performance booster. It can be applied for shortening or increasing the life of the product with perfect end solutions. The company now focuses for production of bioplastics that can be applied in three main growth segment bags, paper coatings and packaging and films.
