Green Dot has recently
introduced Terratek WC composites which can be now used in wade range of fields
such as furniture, toys, houseware and architecture. The size of the
wood-plastic composites has been understood very much suitable for sheet
extrusion and injection molding purposes. These pellets will fill the appetite
of stylish consumers and designers that will never have to compromise with time
taking and expensive mold modifications. You can consider these WPC as a token
of gift and consumer commitment from bioscience social enterprise, Green Dot
which boasts of offering excellent and fine pellets.
The pellets will
comprise of fine wood particles along with recycled and reclaimed plastic which
will bring wooden aesthetics and plastic processing capability. When compared
to plastic alone pellets, the composites will gain some sort of strength and
stiffness along with less warp age and shrinkage in contrast to traditional
plastic. Since these wood-plastic composites have short life cycles and reduced
melting temperatures, production costs will decrease a lot for OEMs and
designers. It should be noted here that WPC can have maximum of 60% content
from wood which can be derived from lumber industries and thus; help in saving
excess deforestation with increasing demands. Wood-plastic composites can be
created with woods from pine, oak and maple; with excellent customization
solutions to leave no or very little environmental footprints and offer high quality
products.
