Poor quality filament in the industry of 3D printer movement is
always a rough patch. In other words, the excellent image quality and better
printing experience in 3D printing can be achieved with high-end quality of
printer nanofilament when it comes to consistency, roundness and diameter. Due
to lack of quality control equipment like online laser scanning and expertise,
new entrants often face problems.
http://www.themoldingblog.com/2013/12/10/irish-startup-tackles-quality-problems-with-3d-filaments/ has recently reported that NatureWorks, bioplastics powerhouse,
is giving support to an innovative technology in Ireland which boasts of
advanced and talented research team in 3DOM Filament Limited that is targeted
at PLA or polylactic acid.
This is nothing but a trademarked Ingeo whose logo will be
allowed to carry with this nanofilament family for the first time in history.
It was none other than NatureWorks which originally developed commercial
manufacturing of PLA.
The company insists that although 3DOM is newer in existence but
experience of the research team will allow the PLA to transcend all printing
issues in the 3D market. This is also the company which will invest its
manpower and efforts to develop additives, blends and enhancements for Ingeo
logo as per the sayings of Dan Sawyer, Global Leader for the company utters.
The forum of International Ingeo Users will also include the
topic of advancements in 3D printing technology with bioplastics.
