Bioplastics: the modest sector that can bring change

Global consumption of bioplastics for flexible packaging in 2006 was 85K tones out of total 12.3 million tones. Till 2012, things have been changed a lot and the global market of bioplastics and the consumption of bioplastics increased up to four times higher within the period of five years. This continuously increasing requirement of bioplastics is expected to become wider till 2018. This offers a matter of concern to bioplastic manufacturers for eco friendly packaging, cost effective fossil material and restrictive effect of premium pricing.

To meet this situation, Natureworks packaging Australia (NPA) has selected the way to produce bag and waste management items for the national and international market. For this purpose, the company has chosen Cardia Bioplastics as its partner. The firm has taken responsibility of designing market and distributing waste management products produced by Cardia Bioplastics. This kind of production is carried out with the utilization of Cardia compostable and Biohybrid resin technology. The combined venture of both the companies is also being represented at the waste 2014 conference in Australia where they will explain their offers to the waste management industry. As both the firms are seeking way for elaborating their business in global level, they are working in collaboration for production of sustainable packaging products.
