BioAmber is paving its new way towards success by declaring that
it will supply at least 80 percent of PTTMCC Biochem’s bio succinic acid
requirements within upcoming 3 years. Mitsubishi and PTT together set up their
joint venture in the form of PTTMCC Biochem. This united project is subjected
for production and sales of PBS i.e. polybutylene succinate which is made up of
succinic acid and 1,4 butanediol. JV partners are working for development of a
PBS plant which is expected to offer about 20K tons production every
year. According to BioAmber, the projected PBS plant will have full capacity
of consuming up to 14K tons per year while BioAmber signed an agreement to
supply up to 11,200 tons bio succinic acid to PTTMCC by 2017. More about
