Mondi Coatings and Nespresso join hands to develop sustainable collection bags for packaging

A collection and recycling system for used aluminium capsules have been introduced by Nespresso in 2009, ensuring the possessing of up to 84 percent recycling ability. Mondi was asked by Nespresso to evolve a custom collection bag for reflection of sustainability goals. The company states that recycled aluminium produces only 5 percent of CO2 associated with the primary aluminium.

Collection bags developed in this way are made up of raw materials and paper and fully biodegradable coatings according to DIN EN 13432.
