Teknor Apex received award for awesome technical performance in development of HDT PLA product

Teknor Apex has received award that was presented during the Smithers Rapra Biopolymers Symposium in May, 2013 in Philadelphia. Edwin Tam, the manager of new strategic initiatives stated that technical work by the team is nothing lesser than an award winning performance. Manager of the team, Greg Anderson and Cerestech Inc., research partner of the company has improved polylactic acid in various fields such as impact resistance, thermo stability and processability with various bioplastic values. The product has been enhanced as FDA compliance, degradable content and high bio based product.

Terraloy HDT PLA product possesses more potentiality for emission of green house gas generation in comparison to the PLA resin and less than half of HIPS (High Impact Polysterene) which is utilized for target applications. The advance HDT PLA compounds are available for production of high grade products with thermo stability as well as injection molding grade products.
