Coca Cola to promote use of eco friendly packaging material now

Tetra pak has declared now to utilize only low density polyethylene for packaging purpose from now. This exclusive product was used for packaging the Coca – Cola Brazil for the first time. Del Valle juice beverages are the products to be packed in LDPE while the same was being sold earlier in routine cartons. Tetra pak Brazil supplies over 13 billion packs annually and serves over 150 customers under its pilot project. The company is continuously seeking the way for improvement of food products. As per the statement of Eduardo Eisler, business strategy Vice president of Coca Cola central and South America, the management believes on meeting challenge of increasing scarcity of raw materials for production that’s why they are looking for alternate, renewable resources. Bio based LDPE is produced from renewable sources and useful to promote eco friendly packaging.
There are three main strategy factors to be taken under consideration by the management team; sustainable products, eco friendly footprint and recycling.
