Mango Materials, the start-up company has been named among the top companies in the field of green chemistry. Actually the company is working on a LAUNCH program, an open innovation foundation which was started in 2010 for identification of solutions and their implementation for generation of sustainable products. The company is famous for transformation of methane into biodegradable plastics which are financially and functionally competitive with oil-based plastics. As per the statement of the company, the product which is of no more use is broken down with PHA in a microbial rich environment. This is how the Mango Material turns methane into PHA.

Total ten innovators from different countries have been chosen as finalists of LAUNCH all of which collaborate in the project.
