Department of Agriculture in US to work for better development of bio-economy

US is known well for continuous development of the bio-based industry and production of renewable chemical products. According to a report introduced in first week of October, US Dept of Agriculture, USDA states that the bio-based products are developed from renewable materials in order to be used as an option of the petroleum derived counterparts. The interesting part of the report to know is that this estimated bio-based material market will make about 10 percent of the chemical market next year.

The Department of Agriculture in the country has been identified that many challenges are there in the path of continuous development in the field of bio-economy. Whether one talk about reliable availability or about the selection or arrangement of raw material, the impact of climate and weather changes are the leading factors to influence the industry. Still, leading polymers such as polyhydroxyalknoates and PLA have strengthened the market and they are expected to increase their market up to 3.45 million tones till 2020.

According to Brent Erickson from USBIO, bio-economy in the country is facing rapid development and representing sufficient availability of raw materials also. That’s how, the plan of production of bio-based and renewable chemical products can be successful.
