Matrica, the joint venture of Novamont and Versalis planned the international open day

The joint venture of Versalis and Novamont, Matrica in Porto Torres hosted the International open day last week. The 3rd bio-economy conference took place in Turin so that the European stakeholders can have an opportunity of utilizing the modern technologies and edible oils for better developmental projects. In the entire program planned for Porto Torres project, various factors like the polymers, esterification facilities and rubbers additive plants have been planned to go on during coming few weeks.

In 2011, this project was started with the goal of conversion of petrochemical plant into the totally new and integrated eco friendly industrial project on international level. Matrica, the owner of this project has reached the world class level bio-monomer unit bearing 7 pilot units. Now, the company owns about 3 plants having full capacity of about 70K tons per annum; the venture represents investment of about 180 millions Euro. A wide range of products are manufactured by the company including bio-lubricants, cosmetic formulas, plasticizers and tyres etc.

The international open day of the company had been hosted by the chairman Daniele Ferrari, Deputy Head of Biotechnologies Unit, Barend Verachtert and CEO of the company Catia Bastioli; all of them offered the chance of looking over the pioneer approach for representation of the project.
