Ethanol Europe and DuPont to join hands for manufacturing collaborative ethanol plant

The European bio-fuel industry is looking for the way to facilitate developmental plants for the production of cellulosic ethanol market through a collaborative venture between Ethanol Europe and DuPont. According to the spokesperson of DuPont, the collaboration between both the companies has an extensive idea to work with three leading components for the manufacturing of detailed research in commercial scale ethanol plant. This ethanol will be supplied to the bio-fuel market in Europe. Further the Foreign Investments’ Minister of Macedonia states that the project is also based on the idea of building an advance bio-refinery possessing the capacity of about 100 million liters. This plant is being planned for beginning of construction in 2016 which can be accomplished till 2018.

This MOU project will lead way towards establishment of viable supply chain through utilization of energy crops and regional yield of oil seeds and cereals. This idea will help good incentives for renovation of biomass capacity on national level. Further, DuPont will work on cellulosic ethanol technology too for its commercialization in the Nevada bio-refinery. Here the main objective of the company revolves around supply of enzymes for unlocking sugar in biomass. On the other hand, Ethanol Europe plans for investment in development of sustainable agricultural strategy.
