PTTMCC Biochem plant is designed to give rise to some new sustainable plans and green life movements. The plant is known well as the joint venture of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and PTT Plc; both the companies are working with common objective producing green products and promoting eco- friendly innovations. Sustainable lifestyles projected for future under the PTT environment are good enough to give rise to new business approach. On the basis of biodegradable products and raw materials, concept for Bio PBS establishment has been designed. According to the Managing Director of Biochem, Mr. Worawat Pitayasiri, the joint venture of two reputed companies has been evolved by the joint venture of Toyo Thai Corporation Plc and Hitachi Plant Technology Co. Ltd., the 20K ton per year plant is expected for completion on 2015. This plant is also being discussed much in the world because it will be the first commercial PBS bio-plastic plant.

CEO of PTT states that the foundation stone laying ceremony is known as the milestone of the PTT Group which will lead a true eco friendly business. Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, Mr. Shigekazu Sato and CEO of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation of Japan, Mr. Hiroaki Ishizuka were also present in the ceremony.
